In today’s world, plastic is an essential raw material. Since their invention in the 1930s, plastics have become ubiquitous in the manufacture of everyday products. Plastic and Micro-plastics are particularly problematic and could pose big threats. Micro-plastic are either released directly into the environment or formed by the degradation of larger plastic debris. Once enter the environment microplastics could pose serious threat to aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems. In Pakistan the freshwater and marine water ecosystem receive huge amount of microplastic which is not only deteriorating the qaulity of water but also affecting the aqautic life.
